“Once again, AnV!” Nagpalakpakan ang mga tao.
“Please, take a seat. It’s great to have you here again Sang Rae, Won Soo and Joon Hye. We also have a new face. Please introduce yourself.”
“Hello. I’m Yassi, a newbie in the Kpop industry. Please do support AnV and also keep on supporting Hikari. Love. Thank you.”
“Oh… Can you tell us how Yassi was discovered by Starlight Entertainment?”
Si Joon Hye ang sumagot. “Yes. Back in the Philippines, her university held a contest for contemporary dance in which she and her partner won.”
“Oh… What song was used?”
“Nobody’s Perfect by Jessie J.” tugon ko,
“Can you show us how you did it?”
Tumayo nga ako para sumayaw. Buti na lang, naaalala ko pa yung steps. Nang matapos sa first chorus ay yumukod ako. “Thank you.”
“Whoa! How expressive! The intense feeling was there. So where is your partner?”
“He’s still in the Philippines.”
“Oh, that’s him? Cute, eh.”
“And when was that photo taken?”
“That photo was taken after the awarding night.”
“How were you discovered by the management as an AnV member?”
“I don’t know. Uhm.”
Si Sang Rae na ang sumagot dahil palagi nitong nakakausap si Mr. Joon. “Actually, we just caught her randomly singing an English song titled ‘Time After Time.’ Then, our CEO passed by, heard her and said, “now the group’s complete.”
“We didn’t get what he’s saying.” dagdag ni Joon Hye. “A moment later, he told to the four of us about the AnV project.”
“So even the three of you had no idea about it at first?”
“Yes, yes.” tugon ni Won Soo.
“Let’s get back to Yassi. How long have you been trained by your comapny?”
“More than a month.”
“Daebak! That was a very short period of time. You were also a member of Hikari. How did you manage to learn the songs and steps, considering that you’re not that fluent in Hangul when you came here?”
“It’s because my co-members and the company staff assisted me. Also I am used to activities that are rushed.”
“Yes. Back in the Philippines, she was an assistant dance instructor who has to learn a dance routine within a day.” turan ni Won Soo.
“She was also studying the Korean culture and language for a couple of months already. She’s a fast learner.” dagdag ni Sang Rae.
“Daebak! Yassi really is something. Your company didn’t have a mistake in choosing you.”
“Thank you.”
“Now, unto the group. Why is your group named AnV?”
Si Sang Rae ang sumagot. “AnV stands for Angelic Voices and according to our CEO, our voices were like that of angels.”
“It is true indeed. The four of you sounded like angels. It feels like we’re already in heaven though your song seemed ironic. You’re angels yet you were in the dark.” Nagkatawanan ang lahat.
“Yes, ironic indeed.” turan ni Joon Hye.
“Next time, sing something lively. Angels should rejoice, not lament.”
“Yes.”
“About the lively song, they’ll have to watch out for our comeback.”
“Yes. Hikari’s comeback is approaching. Can you give us a few information of what to expect in your new song?”
“It’s about someone offering his love to his partner.” sabi ko.
“By the way, your song ‘Dreaming Here In The Dark Night,’ what was it about?”
Si Joon Hye ang nagsalita. “It’s about someone who patiently waited for the love of his life for a very long time. However, his loved one was already dead that’s why he could only see her through dreaming. He was waiting for the day that he will see his loved one again.”
“That’s a very meaningful song that pierces the heart. I wonder how would it look like if you make a music video of it. Will the one who’s waiting, cry in the video?”
“We’ll see, we’ll see.” turan ni Won Soo.
“Seems like Won Soo was getting ready for his acting. Oh yeah. All of you were also actors and that’s a challenge to your new member, Yassi.”
“Yes. I really have to work hard for the group. My co-members’ perseverance is what moves me to perform better.”
Biglang nagsalita si Won Soo. “You don’t have to. You’re too talented. For everyone’s information, she was the composer of the song.”
“Daebak! Seriously? Is this true, Yassi?”
“Yes. Sang Rae helped me in finalizing the song.”
“Daebak! Daebak! Daebak!” Nagtawanan kami kasi paulit-ulit ang emcee. “What? That’s all I can say. I was so amazed. You’re a very talented one, Yassi. I hope that a lot of people would recognize that. I could predict that someday, you’ll be a top artist, just like your co-members. You really deserved to be a part of this group.” May isang staff na nag-abot ng papel sa emcee. “What is this? New info? Oh! About Yassi. Okay. Is it true that Henry, the solo artist was your childhood friend?”
Nagulat ako sa info. “You’re kind of fast. How did you know that?” Tumikhim ako. “Well, yes, we were childhood friends.”
“Wow. You even took a selca.”
Napanganga ako sa gulat. “Where did you get that?”
“It was posted in his twitter account.”
“Oh. I never knew.”
“Yassi was just knew here, yet we already knew a lot of information about her. AnV, please make a greeting to your fans.”
Bilang leader, si Sang Rae na ang nagsalita. “Thank you for the warm welcome to us as AnV. We were very happy to be able to perform in front of you. We hope that we’ll see you again when we perform as Hikari. Thank you.”
“This has been AnV!”
Matapos ang interview with the emcee, bumalik kami sa backstage. “Good job, AnV!” bungad sa’min ni Mr. Joon. Parang lutang pa ako sa mga sandaling yaon. Hindi ako maka-get over sa performance namin. Feeling ko, nasa stage pa rin kami at nagpe-perform. Hanggang sa namalayan ko na lang na pauwi na pala kami sa dorm.
Nang gabing yaon, halos walang mapaglagyan ang saya. “Totoo ba talaga ‘to? Hindi ba ako nanaginip? Talaga ba’ng officially kpop artist na ‘ko? Talaga ba’ng kumanta kami kanina sa Ingikayo?” Nakakatawa ang istura ko kasi daig ko pa yata ‘yung sa commercial ng Resorts World na maya’t-maya ay naaalala ang performance. Sa pagtulog ko, hindi ko maalis ang ngiti sa’king labi. “Matapos ang puspusang training, finally nakapag-perform na rin ang AnV.”
